As a child, a gift of crayons, or paints and colouring book, would keep me quiet for hours. So it came as no surprise to my parents that I passed Art in my GCE exams. I went on to college, to further my career, but unfortunately the girls were steered to fashion design, while the guys did graphics. Two years later, marriage and three children happened, and I never thought about art again, until three years ago, aged 57. I had never learned colour theory, and how to mix colours,or even drawn for 40 years, so I began to teach myself from books. Now my philosophy is simple. I love to paint and can't stop! It caught me when I wasn't paying attention, and took over my life! From the beginning, colleagues admired and bought my paintings, which now look rather naive, but I appreciate that early support. I continue along what has become a long journey of discovery, and hope you will share in my enthusiasm when you look at my work.
